By registering for coaching at Grandmaster, you agree to the terms on this page. We wrote them to be fair and open, so you and we are equally comfortable while we accompany your rating climb.
Our Service
Grandmaster is a chess school in Indonesia, online and on-site. Two learning paths: Chess Course (T1 Beginner through T3 Competitive Local) for kids aged 6 and up, adult beginners, and casual improvers. Competitive Chess (T3 through T5 Master) for competitive players chasing online chess rating and tiered tournaments. Every session is guided by curated chess instructors across all levels. Coaching is available online through an online chess platform plus Discord voice for all of Indonesia, alongside on-site sessions in 10 tier-1 cities through traveling coaches.
Registration
Getting started with coaching at Grandmaster is simple:
- You reach us on WhatsApp for a free 30 minute consultation.
- We help you settle on the path and tier that fit through a diagnostic session, which reviews your rating and your recent games.
- Once we agree, we arrange the schedule and coaching begins.
Schedule and Sessions
Schedules are arranged together and adapted to your rhythm. Please arrive on time so every session feels complete. If something comes up, tell us early so we can rearrange it.
Fees and Payment
Package details and fees are shared openly during the consultation and listed on the program pages. Payment follows the package you choose. Prices may change from time to time, and changes do not apply retroactively to a package already running.
Rescheduling and Cancellation
We understand that your plans can change. Rescheduling is possible with reasonable notice before a session. Cancellation terms for each package are explained at registration, so nothing feels unclear later on.
Materials and Copyright
All Grandmaster drills, worksheets, Stockfish game reviews, and coaching materials are our own work. Materials are provided for your own training journey. Please do not copy, sell, or distribute them to other parties without our permission.
Anti-Boosting and Fair Play
Grandmaster is a chess school, purely. We do NOT provide online chess rating boosting, smurfing, or play-for-hire services. Coaches train you so that you climb the rating yourself, through structured coaching, curated drills, and weekly game review with Stockfish 16. We respect the Terms of Service of online chess platforms, and we expect you to respect them as well.
Changes to the Service
Grandmaster keeps growing. We may update the programs, the materials, and these terms from time to time as chess coaching methodology develops and the needs of the community change. Updates will be reflected on this page along with the date.
Governing Law
These terms are governed by the law of the Republic of Indonesia. If something needs resolving, we prioritize good faith discussion first.
